Health checks
How Runtime decides a new release is ready for traffic.
Health checks run when a release starts. Traffic moves to the new release only after its checks pass.
Controls
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Enable or disable | Turns checks on or off for process types. |
| Skip | Skips checks for a deploy. |
| Run | Runs checks against the running application now. |
| Report | Shows the check settings. |
Skipping checks
Without checks, a release that starts but cannot serve requests can receive traffic. Skip checks only when you understand why they fail.
