Choose a product
Match your workload to the right id0n product.
Each product solves one kind of problem.
| Workload | Product | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A web app, API or HTTP service that should always be running | Runtime | Runtime keeps long-running services up, routes traffic to them and restarts them when needed. |
| Customer sign-up, sign-in, sessions, organisations and SSO for your own app | Legation | Legation manages identity for your customers' users, so your app does not store passwords or run its own auth server. |
| Routing requests across supported models, APIs, services and tools | Gateway | Gateway applies route policy and reliability rules. It does not host the targets it routes to. |
| Jobs triggered by events, timers or your code, and multi-step workflows | Ongoings | Ongoings runs work outside the request path, with run history and retries. |
Runtime or Ongoings?
Use Runtime. It is built for continuously running services that accept traffic.
Use Ongoings. Scheduled jobs are not a Runtime feature.
Run the web app on Runtime and hand the slow work to Ongoings. See Ongoings and Runtime.
Gateway or Runtime routing?
Runtime gives each application its own URL and custom domains. Use Gateway to route requests across supported models, APIs, services and tools. Gateway routes requests; it does not host them.
